OCRA Ovarian Cycle Ride

The Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation co-hosted, along with the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA), an Ovarian Cycle Ride on April 28, 2019, the day before what would have been Amy’s 54th birthday.  More than 70 riders joined the AKR Foundation’s team, Team AKR, at the Midtown Athletic Club Chicago to remember and honor Amy, as well as others who are living with or surviving family members who have lost a relative to ovarian cancer, at the two-hour spin event. Along with our fellow riders and donors, Team AKR helped Ovarian Cycle Chicago raise $65,000 and counting for ovarian cancer research, advocacy, and support programs that engage ovarian cancer survivors. Following the ride, we acknowledged and honored Amy’s birthday by reading a collection of 11 of Amy’s quotes and releasing yellow balloons.
