At the Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation, we believe access to books changes lives. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we've donated more than 350,000 of Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s beloved books to schools and nonprofit organizations nationwide—sparking joy, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading.

The Book Grant Award is offered annually to expand access to books for communities that need them most.

The Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation 2026 Book Grant Award application is now open. This year we plan to distribute Amy and Tom Lichtenheld’s cherished book, I Wish You More, to schools and nonprofit organizations that share our commitment to literacy, education, and access to books.

Please note that due to shipping restrictions, our 2026 Book Grant awards require requests of 1,000 books per shipment. See the link below for more information.
