At the Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation, we believe access to books changes lives. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we've donated more than 350,000 of Amy Krouse Rosenthal’s beloved books to schools and nonprofit organizations nationwide—sparking joy, curiosity, and a lifelong love of reading.

The Book Grant Award is offered annually to expand access to books for communities that need them most.

The Amy Krouse Rosenthal Foundation will open our 2026 Book Grant Award application in March. We’ll once again distribute one of Amy’s cherished titles to schools and nonprofit organizations that share our commitment to literacy, education, and access to books.

Made possible by our generous donors, the Book Grant Award helps promote literacy by encouraging book ownership and bringing stories into the hands—and hearts—of children across the country.
